A brief reel of my work at FXVille with a number of amazing clients. A breakdown of my contributions:
Mortal Kombat 11 FX:
Many cinematics present in game that will be seen after launch. I was also responsible for a large first pass of this prologue scene's electric FX during the Story Trailer. Shinnok's and the chain's electrocution suit is still all mine, while the rest was a collaborative effort with the incredible Ryan Gatts who took further polish passes when I transitioned to other scenes and contracts. This is all I can show until the game ships this year!
Destiny 2 FX:
The rare prototype sparrow Eon Drive, utilizing the Traveler's Light to power unstable human technology for the first time.
The void-powered Zavala's Authority, personal aircraft to the Titan Guardian leader, Zavala.
Some PvP map environment FX dressing.
Shadow of War FX:
I was responsible for most of Dark Talion's kit towards the end of Shadow of War. It was a thematic adaptation of his usual kit in the Nazgul aesthetic of the villains to show the drastic change in Talion after utilizing Isildur's Ring. I was also responsible for keying FX to animations through his base kit, bug fixes, some orc captains, a couple Eltariel FX, etc.
As many contracts are tight on memory budget on arrival, the FX shown are often a mix of my own assets and adapted assets already available in memory. The wonderful artists at Monolith, Bungie, and Netherrealms are all due credit for their awesome contributions.
